Kornati-Sea Kayaking Paradise/Telascica – Heaven for a Vacation

We are taking you to heaven for sea kayak adventures, in a maze of 89 islands, including small islands spread out over 220km 2 on a coastal line 238 km long. In 1980, Kornati was proclaimed a national park because of its amazing scenic beauty, interesting geomorphology, a great coastal line, and especially rich biocenosis of the maritime ecosystem. The most interesting area for kayakers are the so-called “crowns” or cliffs, with the highest being Klobucar (80m.) We also have other interesting areas such as the remains of the salt-pan in Lavsa, fortification Turete from the 6th century, old Christian Trobroda Basilica, a few small churches, olive and fig fields, the location where the motion picture "As The Sea Rages" was filmed, as well as many other sights. Besides Kornati, we will visit its neighboring nature park “Telascica” with its 13 islands and other small islands, as well as 6 small islands within its bay. Telascica is the safest, most beautiful and largest natural harbor of the Adriatic Sea and contains 25 small beaches and 69 km of coastal area, slopes of the island of Dugi Otok or the so-called “Stene” which rise to 166 m above the sea and to the depth of 90m and finally the salty Lake “Mir” with its healing qualities. Alongside the rocks you can often see dolphins as well as the lakes aquatic life which is enriched with flora and fauna of 300 different types; the red corals being the most interesting.
